Perched in the Sahyadri ranges, Matrumandir is 16 km from Mumbai-Goa National Highway.
Founder Late Indirabai (Mavashi) Halabe began her yeomen services with two bedded Hospital in 1954 in a small cow shade at Devrukh, Tal: Sangameshwar, Dist: Ratnagiri. In those days Devrukh was accessible mainly by road. Transportation facilities were hardly available. Mavashi started the hospital to cater the health services especially for the women and children in the rural area.
Our hospital is well-equipped with Dental, Ophthalmic, X-ray, Pathology, Maternity, etc.
Matrumandir’s social service was apprised by the Govt and the community by awarding various credentials like Jamnalal Bajaj Award, Maharashtra Foundation Award, Jeevan Gourav Award.
