Lamp lighting and Oath taking ceremony-2021

The Lamp lighting ceremony was held as a tribute to Florence Nightingale an auspicial occasion in every nurse’s life. Adorned in their uniforms for the first time, formally makes the students entry into the nursing profession.

The Lamp lighting & Oath taking ceremony for the 1st batch of B.Sc. Nursing students of Navnirman College of Nursing was held on 25th Sep 2021 in Navnirman auditorium, Lovale Sangmeshwar at 10.00 am.

The Occasion was inaugurated by lighting the lamp. The Programme was inaugurated by hon'ble Udayji Samant Cabinet Minister Higher & Technical Education and Mr. Shekhar Nikam, MLA Chiplun – Sangameshwar constituency was the chief Guest of the occasion. Mr. Abhijit Hegshetye Chairman of NSS, Mr. Ashok Belsare Vice President NSS, Mr. Paresh Patgaonkar secretary of NSS, Mr. Atmaram Mestry Secretary, Matrumandir were present.

Prof. Pradnya Kadam Principal of Navnirman College of Nursing of Msg highlighted the significance of the day.

As a sign of honor & respect to the Navnirman College of Nursing profession, the dignitaries garlanded the portrait of Florence Nightingale and Savitribai Phule. The senior staff Mrs. Smita Surve Lit the lamps of 13 novices. Students which symbolizes wisdom. Knowledge & compassion, followed by recitation of oath, pledging themselves to uphold the cuties as professional nurses.

Hon'ble Udayji Samant in his address to the gathering applauded the students for choosing the nursing profession. He gave a call to the students to be committed and have the right attitude to be disciplined as a student. He said that these budding nurses are a great asset to the needy patients.

The Chief Guest Mr. Shekhar Nikam congratulated the new budding nurses & motivated them to imbibe the sanctity of profession. He emphasized building nurses to develop knowledge, skill & attitude & wished them good luck as they entered the nursing Profession.

Mr.Abhijit Hegshetye Chairman of NSS spoke on the various important factors that a student nurse needs to inculcate, in her / his profession, his emphasis on developing curiosity, humility & passion caring for the patient.

Mrs. Supriya Shetty, nursing tutor, proposed the vote of thanks. The formal Programme ended with the national song Vande Mataram.
